* Track 1: DATA PRIORITIES

Storing and accessing data is at the heart of government. This track will not only address contemporary issues but futurizing government data for maximum efficiency and accessibility. Issues include data infrastructure and management issues. Tomorrow's data center. Virtualization. Cloud computing. Green IT. Knowledge management. Disaster recovery. Storage. Records and access laws. Information sharing.

* Track 2: CYBERSECURITY AND INFORMATION ASSURANCE

Cybersecurity and IA are more critical than ever before from both a privacy and national security perspective. In an era of increased openness and transparency in government, protecting government data and systems must remain a priority. Among the issues we expect to address are stability for commerce, for communication, for intelligence, for information-sharing, for the warfighter. Privacy issues. Ensuring that authorized users have access to authorized information at the authorized time.

* Track 3: GOV 2.0: REINVENTING GOVERNMENT

Exploring how government at every level is leveraging social media tools and Web 2.0 technologies to achieve transparency, participation, collaboration, and innovation is a key focus of FOSE. We'll address culture change, transforming health IT, transparency vs. privacy, maximizing and measuring the effectiveness of wikis, blogs, Twitter, GovLoop, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other interactive inroads.

* Track 4: IT INFRASTRUCTURE AND COMMUNICATIONS

Technology keeps the business of government running, and these sessions focus on those back office operations that may not get the headlines, BUT  they're the ones that "keep the lights on," especially in an era of tight budgets. Topics could include key applications and processes, enterprise architecture, networks, wireless and mobile, systems and application development, infrastructure management, telework and remote access, IPv6, and more.

* Track 5: BREAKTHROUGHS AND BEST PRACTICES

The name says it all. This track will focus on new technologies, and trends and policies that will change the way you, your agency, and government do business. Look into your crystal ball and help identify future trends, super solutions and emerging technologies that are in our future.
