| ATTENTION ALL TENANTS AND FRIENDS! Peter Petropoulos, member of the Dorchester Apts. Tenants' Association.. will be appearing on WPFW-Radio, 89.3 FM, the Gloria Minott's MetroWatch program, tomorrow (Friday) July 10th in the 9:30 time slot. He will also be appearing tonight (Thursday) on the 6:00 PM TV News, Channel 9. He will speak on the eviction from the Dorchester of a 29-year long tenant while recuperating from heart surgery, even after assurances from the tenant that he would pay the two month's rent owed. Petropoulos maintains (as do many in the tenant community) that landlords have long used extreme lengths to evict longer-term tenants to move in new tenants who pay higher rents and cites yesterday's event as an example. |
