The portable, convenient, and useful card was developed to enhance cultural competen! ce among service providers working in or coordinating services for American Indian and Alaska Native communities.

This brief guide addresses American Indian and Alaska Native history and culture, myths and facts, tribal sovereignty, and more. It offers helpful tips on how to successfully interact and work within tribal communities, and serves as a refresher to prior training or a supplement to orientation provided by a community member. Keep it in your wallet or purse and review it as you prepare and travel.
