Dan Green has spent 37 years with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in a variety of positions in retirement and insurance operations. Mr. Green is currently responsible for developing federal employee benefits policy covering the multi-billion dollar retirement and insurance programs administered by OPM and promoting important employee and family support programs, like telework, health promotion and Employee Assistance Programs. His recent accomplishments include issuing the Telework Guide for federal employees and managers and establishing voluntary dental and vision insurance programs for federal employees, retirees and their families. Mr. Green is a graduate of Memphis State University and George Washington University, where he received his MBA degree. The current federal government civilian workforce is approximately 1.8 million employees, not including postal workers. The U.S. Office of Personnel Management is the president 's agent and advisor for the government's human resources management systems. OPM 's primary responsibility is to ensure the federal government has an effective workforce. Marie L 'Etoile is the manager of the Work/Life program in the strategic human resources policy division of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). The Work/Life staff develops policies and provides guidance on Work/Life programs to all federal agencies. Ms. L'Etoile has been with OPM for more than 20 years. She has worked in various offices within OPM primarily in retirement and insurance. Before moving to the Work/Life office, Ms. L 'Etoile was a project manager in OPM's retirement operation. She has also worked with the Social Security Administration and in the Department of Defense Civilian Personnel Management Service. She has a bachelor of science degree from Georgetown University. Dr. Kim Wells is a senior organizational research psychologist. She received her doctorate degree in organizational behavior from Claremont Graduate University, Calif., and has worked in applied research for more than 12 years in nonprofits and the federal government. Before joining the Office of Personnel Management, Dr. Wells led several large telework studies in partnership with the University of Minnesota and authored resulting research publications examining the implications of telework for organizational performance and community development. Dr. Wells manages and is the lead researcher for program evaluation services in OPM 's Assessment Services Branch. She currently serves on a detail to the Work/Life Group as a senior method, measurement and subject matter technical expert for the telework program. In addition, she also uses her research knowledge of other Work/Life related disciplines such as child care, elder care, flexible work scheduling and so on to comment upon, research and develop appropriate tools as the basis for devising and supporting governmentwide effective Work/Life policies. |
