Politics vs. Health Care Reform

Divided We Fail.org--It's time for Health Care and Financial Security for all

The Senate is starting to draft health care reform legislation.

But this is the point where politics gets in the way. Our message to Congress: "Not this time."

Tell your senators not to let partisan politics get in the way!

Dear Phillip,

The wait for health care reform isn't over. But we're one step closer.

The Senate is starting work on legislation this week, the result of months and months of both political parties working together to find common ground.

But now is the time when partisan politics starts to get in the way, when our leaders lose sight of why we've sent them there in the first place.

We can't afford for that to happen this time around.

Thank your senators for working across the aisle – and tell them you expect the Senate to end the political gridlock and pass meaningful reform this year.

We have long been ready for health care legislation that lowers costs and expands access to care to all Americans. But we also know that there are special interests ready to spend fortunes trying to make sure that, once again, Congress fails to pass meaningful reform. We know there are some members of Congress – on both sides of the aisle – who have zero interest in what the other side has to say.

As a coalition of organizations representing more than 50 million Americans of all political persuasions, it is our duty to say, "NOT THIS TIME!"

We have to stand up and remind our leaders in Congress that they have pledged to work together to pass health care reform – and this is a promise we expect them to keep.

Click here and tell your senators that they need to help set the tone in forming this legislation with input from both sides of the aisle.

Then, please forward this message on to friends and family and help us keep everyone at the table at this critical moment.

Sincerely,

The Divided We Fail Team
