From Key DC Organizations Washington, DC – October 9, 2008 – Independent Democrat Michael A. Brown has received endorsements and offers of support from several DC organizations as their choice to fill one of the two At-Large City Council seats up for election on November 4, 2008. Michael welcomed the endorsements and offers of support, "I am pleased that these organizations have the confidence in me to represent the interests of all Washingtonians." • Ward 5 Straw Poll (Michael Brown wins 1 of 2 seats)
Michael is also pleased with his strong showing in the recent polls. He hopes to continue build his grassroots support by walking neighborhoods and talking about issues that are important to Washingtonians such as quality schools, safer neighborhoods, and better care for senior citizens. Additionally, he is promoting a voter education campaign to remind voters that they can vote for two At-Large Council candidates and to "Make Michael Your First Choice November 4."
