Dear Phillip,
All thanks to you – we made our goal of $6 million and invested that money to help candidates in more than 43 districts get on TV, intensify their ground game, and not back down.
But, I wanted to share some other good news: I just got out of a strategy meeting with DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen and we looked at polling which shows
favorable chances to win in multiple districts that have just emerged as competitive.
I can't thank you enough because your contributions mean the difference between winning and losing in seats like these nationwide.
The truth is just as quickly as your dollars come in, they go right back out the door to help our candidates. We have over 75 races in play –
we have to close the financial gap between all of our opportunities and what we can do with the resources we have. I know we have asked so much of you already but I hope you will continue to stand with us in the next 33 days so we can take advantage of every seat, and every opportunity. We will need your help again so please also consider
making another gift.
Just take a look at some of the things your contribution has put into effect to help us win on Election Day:
AD SPOTLIGHT Thanks to you, our candidates are on the air in 43 districts, playing an aggressive offense and putting Republicans on defense. Check out some of the hard hitting ads against our Republican opponents in the
DCCC's Ad Gallery and
consider making another gift to keep them on the air.
RACES UPDATE Here's an update on just a few of the outstanding candidates you have been able to help:
Betsy Markey (CO-04): Betsy Markey is surging in the polls against George Bush protégé Marilyn Musgrave. Betsy is fighting hard to expose Musgrave's record of Rubber Stamps for George Bush's votes against children's health care, renewable energy, and ending the war in Iraq.
Learn more about Betsy Markey.
Martin Heinrich (NM-01): Albuquerque City Councilman Martin Heinrich has a strong chance to turn this red seat blue. This race is a true air war where shadowy outside conservative group Freedom's Watch is on the attack.
Learn more about Martin Heinrich.
Suzanne Kosmas (FL-24): Democrat Suzanne Kosmas is running against ethically-challenged Congressman Tom Feeney. Republican Feeney is the last man standing in Congress with ties to disgraced GOP lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Feeney just launched his own TV ad admitting his ties to Abramoff and raising more questions than answers.
Learn more about Suzanne Kosmas.
As we head down the final stretch toward Election Day, I would be remiss as Executive Director if I did not ask for your help again. Right now the Karl Rove-advised Freedom's Watch is attacking Democrats in 22 districts. With 75 races in play, we need every dollar you can give to compete in every district that we have a chance to win.
Contribute now.
Without your help, we will lose critical opportunities to turn red seats blue. Contribute today!
We are the foundation for an Obama-Biden victory – by helping our candidates in key battleground districts, you are also helping to drive Barack Obama to victory in these key states.
George Bush and Republican greed got us into this mess. With your help, Barack Obama and a stronger Democratic Majority in Congress will get us out.
Thanks,

Brian Wolff
