| 14 Days Until Victory
Sarah Brady Makes Courageous Trip and Speaks Out
Sarah Brady made a somber and difficult trip to Annapolis to continue her personal and public fight as the Brady Campaign Against Gun Violence and Marylanders Against Handgun abuse endorsed Lt. Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and Admiral Charles Larson in what was a subdued and poignant meeting with press this morning.
The event had been scheduled for some time and the issue has never been more clear in the minds of voters, but everyone involved with today's event would have gladly traded public awareness of the issue for an end to the continuing violence in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties and neighboring Virginia.
Out of respect for the victims, especially the latest victim in Montgomery County, and their families, friends and co-workers, the Lt. Governor and Admiral Larson decided not to appear at the endorsement.
Now, more than ever, law enforcement need our continued support to put an end to this rampage. But, we should never forget, that gun violence is with us everyday in many forms that rarely attract the same attention. Continued support of good public policy and sensible gun laws, as well as our law enforcement officers in every jurisdiction and level does and will work.
THE ADMIRAL'S CORNER
As of late, the Admiral has been stumping in key, voter-rich regions of our State, from Montgomery County to Baltimore City, from Prince George's County to Baltimore County. In just the past few days, he visited half a dozen senior centers in Montgomery County, a school in Prince George's, and held meetings with leaders of the Latino and African-American business communities in Baltimore City. He also visited Morgan State University and Coppin State College, and somehow found the time to campaign in Baltimore County with Dutch Rupersberger. Oh, and did we mention that he traveled up and down the Eastern Shore? When you've got the momentum, you don't stop moving.

EASTON - Democratic lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Charles P. Larson billed education, health care, the environment and public safety as defining issues on his and gubernatorial candidate Kathleen Kennedy Townsend's ticket, and said he would be more than a political "hood ornament" in the issues' resolutions.
Larson said Monday, during an interview at The Star Democrat, he believes his and Townsend's positions on these issues are growing more distinct from those of Republican candidate Robert Ehrlich's, a difference he hopes will pay off on election day.
"It seems that Mr. Ehrlich has never come up with a platform on which to run," Larson said. "He could have argued for issues if he had formed policy based on who he is and what he stands for. Instead, he argues against us."

WYE MILLS - Supporters from Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, and Talbot counties were on hand to hear Kathleen Kennedy Townsend's running mate's views on the issues and what the Townsend/Larson team can offer Maryland citizens.
After a Monday visit in Chestertown, Admiral Charles Larson visited the new Learning Resource Center at Chesapeake College.
"I think when we elect people these days you really have to look at the team," said Larson.
"We are the team that is running for something; (Ehrlich) is running against something" said Larson.
