Dear Supporter,
Good news -- we have declared victory in two more seats since Election Day -- Democrat Tom Perriello (VA-05) and Frank Kratovil (MD-01).
Thanks to your generous support, that means we gained 24 Democratic victories since last cycle. We are still ecstatic about last Tuesday's historic night -- Americans voted in record numbers for President-Elect Obama and to expand our Democratic majorities. Almost never has a party won back-to-back wave elections. This feat is truly historic.
But in the midst of victory celebrations, at least two House races remain unresolved with margins as close as 149 votes as ballots are still being counted. I wanted to provide an update on what still hangs in the balance.
Races Still Too Close to Call:• In Ohio,
Mary Jo Kilroy is within 150 votes while provisional and absentee ballots are counted. • In California,
"as many as 40,000 ballots" are yet to be counted in the race between Charlie Brown and right-wing icon Tom McClintock. Thanks to you, we have teams of attorneys on the ground in each of these districts doing everything in their power to ensure every ballot is counted freely and fairly. Please consider helping us today with an urgent contribution as we depleted all of our resources to winning 24 victories.

Special Election – December 6th: There is also one more election to go. Louisiana's 4th District will be decided by a special election on December 6th. Our Democratic candidate,
Paul Carmouche has been a dedicated and respected prosecutor for nearly 30 years, taking thousands of criminals off the streets earning a reputation as a trusted and bipartisan leader. He is running against a radical conservative -- we are going to fight hard. You can help us to win our 25
th seat --
give $25 to help the DCCC win the 25th victory.
You've been a part of history -- you own the campaign to change America. I will keep you updated as details unfold and when these races are brought to a fair conclusion.
Thanks again for standing with us every step of the way.

Rep. Chris Van Hollen
DCCC Chairman
P.S. With at least two races still undecided and a big special election to win on December 6th, we have depleted all of our resources.
Please contribute today.
