USNews.com: Political Bulletin: Tuesday, March 13, 2007: "Sharpton Criticizes Obama WCBS-TV New York, NY reports that Reverend Al Sharpton (D) on Monday had 'some tough criticism' for Sen. Barack Obama. The 'outspoken reverend' hit Obama with 'harsh' criticism about his efforts to build support in the black community, saying, 'Why shouldn't the black community ask questions? Are we now being told, 'You all just shut up?'' Sharpton added, 'Senator Obama and I agree that the war is wrong, but then I want to know why he went to Connecticut and helped [Sen. Joseph] Lieberman, the biggest supporter of the war.' The New York Sun adds that the criticism 'makes clear' that Sharpton, 'who sought the Democratic presidential nomination unsuccessfully in 2004, will not give Mr. Obama a pass simply because he is black.'
