Giuliani, who led McCain by six percentage points in December, now leads the Vietnam war veteran by 14 points, 38% to 24%, according to the nation-wide Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll. And 10 months before the first party primaries for the 2008 election, Clinton's lead over Obama has shrunk by seven points, going from 37-18% in December to 40-28% in the new poll. But while the powerful social conservative movement is still searching for a nominee who shares their low-tax, anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage creed, crucial African-American support remains mostly split among the Democratic contenders."
