What does neuroimaging tell us
about schizophrenia?

This presentation will describe the evolving role that neuroimaging is playing in the understanding of neurobiological and genetic basis of schizophrenia. This program is designed for mental health professionals who provide care to those diagnosed with schizophrenia and/or schizoaffective disorder and for families who have members diagnosed with schizophrenia. An "Ask the Doctor" panel discussion will follow the lecture. Participants will learn:
· The different types of neuroimaging methods (MRI, fMRI, PET)
· What neuroimaging can tell us about the physiology of brain disorders
· The relationship between genetic findings and imaging data
· The potential role that neuroimaging may have on developing future treatments
