Community Forum: What's in the Proposed 2010 Budget

for the DC Department on Disability Services?

WHERE:  Room A-5, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street, NW. By Metro, between Gallery Place and Metro Center

 

RSVP / QUESTIONS:  RSVP preferred, but not required.  Please RSVP and send any advance questions for Director Heumann to advocacy@arcdc.net or 202-636-2963 by 12 noon on Monday, March 30th.

 

This is a chance to learn more about how Mayor Fenty's proposed FY 2010 budget affects the Department on Disability Services (DDS). DDS includes the Developmental Disabilities Administration and the Rehabilitation Services Administration.  The agenda includes:

 

s          Presentation by Judith A. Heumann, Director, Department on Disability Services

 

s         Audience Q & A – will feature questions submitted in advance as well as questions from the audience.                               

 

Because time is limited, please send in questions in advance if at all possible. This will help ensure that Director Heumann can address common questions. Please send your questions by 12 noon on Monday, March 30th to advocacy@arcdc.net or 202-636-2963.

 

Sample Question: "How much funding will the Rehabilitation Services Administration devote to youth transition services in FY 2010? How much of the funding will be one-time federal stimulus money, and how does DDS plan to support youth transition services over the long run?"
