This presentation is designed to communicate the current understanding of the role susceptibility genes can play in the development and the future treatment of schizophrenia. This program is designed for families who have members diagnosed with schizophrenia as well as mental health professionals who provide care to those with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. An "Ask the Doctor" panel discussion will follow the lecture.

The relationship between genetics and schizophrenia
The latest developments in the genetic findings related to schizophrenia
The potential impact that genetic findings may have on future treatments of schizophrenia
The latest information regarding the diagnosis and treatment of schizophrenia
