The ball is in Congress' court

Divided We Fail.org--It's time for Health Care and Financial Security for all

Dear Supporter,

President Obama made a major investment in health care in his budget.

Now we need Congress to follow through.

Tell your representatives that we simply can't afford to wait to fix health care!
President Obama heard our call loud and clear -- the budget he sent to Congress includes major investments in health care reform.

Now the ball is in Congress' court.

We already know that there are some in Congress who want to push health care to the backburner. We can't afford to let that happen.

Send a message to Congress today and tell your representatives to make health care a top priority in the federal budget.

The reality is Washington is focused on the economy. But without fixing health care, we cannot stop the squeeze being felt by American families and businesses. Millions of laid-off workers are losing their health coverage. Businesses are being crippled by the escalating costs of health care.

If we wait and the cost of health care continues to climb, the full cost of employer sponsored health insurance will equal nearly half of median household income by 2016.

Now is the time to make crucial up-front investments in health care. Our current system costs too much, wastes too much and makes too many mistakes. During last year's campaign, nearly two-thirds of Congress -- along with then-Senator Obama - pledged to work across party lines to change this.

Phillip, we need you to hold your members of Congress to their word.

Contact your members of Congress today and ask them to fix health care - now!

After you send your message, please forward this email along to your friends and family. With more than 1.6 million Divided We Fail members calling on Washington to work together to achieve meaningful reform, we will ensure health care stays at the top of Congress' agenda.

Sincerely,

The Divided We Fail Team
