I'm happy to send you this email with interesting news! As always: few emails with condensed great information.
1- Article and pictures about Schoenstatt in DC: Please go to http://www.schoenstatt.de/ , click on "news" and look for the article from USA from 30 January 2009. There are great news and pictures about Washington, DC. Hopefully somebody can translate the text into English, but the pictures will remain with their original digital language.

2- International Conference in Schoenstatt NOW!: In only five years we'll celebrate the 100th. anniversary of the founding of the Schoenstatt Movement. For this reason a representatives of many countries are now in Schoenstatt to share the streams of the Movement around the world, in order to celebrate the anniversary with a deep international preparation. We can see daily reports, comments and greetings from this Conference at www.schoenstatt-tv.de .
3- Friday, 6 February, WASHINGTON'S TURN: For each day of the current international Conference in Schoenstatt there are two communities responsible to offer prayers and sacrifices. Washington, DC has the honor to be one of those! Our day will be tomorrow, Friday, 6 February, from 8 am to 2 pm (Eastern time, USA). That will be 2pm to 8pm in Germany. Let's be all united, let's share ideas to pray together and to offer sacrifices to the capital of grace for the fruitfulness of the Conference, as preparation of the 100th. anniversary of the Schoenstatt Movement!
4- DC MEETING next Monday, 9 February: A group of Schoenstatters who work in DC, along with anyone interested, will meet next Monday, 9 February, at 12:30 at the Organization of American States (OAS) - 1889 F Street, N.W. , Washington , DC 20006,
The goal is to share experiences and ideas about each other and each group. All are invited. If you are planning to attend, please inform Rosario: w 202-458-3903 c 202-458-3903 rsantos@oas.org , since she must notify it at the entrance. Try to arrive some minutes earlier, if possible, but if you can't, don't worry, just be there for the time you can!
It's a brown bag meeting. Brown bags are allowed, please don't bring other colors.
OK, Rosario and Allahi are saying that other colors are allowed! So, you can bring your own lunch. This kind of meetings are very short (only 1 hr.), and we meet only like three times a year. Actually this is the second meeting ever... Please don't miss it!! We need you!!

Fr. Michael Schapfel in Virginia this coming Saturday 10 to 12: There is a very special invitation from the Schoenstatt Movement on Saturday, 7 February, with Father Michael Schapfel, a diocesan Schoenstatt priest who ministers in this area. The topic will be: "HISTORY AND LEVELS OF THE SCHOENSTATT SPIRITUALITY". It will begin at 10:00 am with the talks and refreshments at the St. Michael's Lower School, 7401 St. Michael's Lane, Annandale, Virginia 22003 - Room 3, concluding at 12:00 noon. It's not only meant to know more about the deep Schoenstatt spirituality, but also to get to know each other better, and to deepen our relationship as a Family. Please extend this invitation to anyone interested in the Schoenstatt Spirituality.

6- Saturday, 28 March LEADERS TRAINING WITH SR. MARIE Sr. Marie will come to the DC region to give us a leaders training. The journey will take place on Saturday, 28 March. We are happy to tell you that Cardinal McCarrick Center, the Washington archdiocesan center for Lay Leadership, is offering a place for this meeting. It is located in 12247 Georgia Avenue in Wheaton (Silver Spring), Maryland.
7- Fr. Dieter is coming to DC from Thursday, 16 to Monday, 20 April. Welcome!! Let's start planning his visit!
8- First couples group of DC with Covenant of Love!! On Saturday, 30 May will be the first group of Washington DC that will seal the Covenant of Love (see some members of the group above)!! It will be in New York!! On Sunday, 31 May at the Shrine in New York: CROWNING OF THE BLESSED MOTHER. We all want to go to New York, in a bus, as always, for this great day!!
