Our Progressive Majority team is very excited about today - our nation's most important election in generations. The whole world is watching as Americans decide what direction our country will take in the next four years. And if you don't live in an early voting state, or you've waited until today to cast your ballot, we want to remind you of how much is at stake.
The progressive leaders we elect today, from the bottom of the ballot to the top, will decide:
- Whether we rebuild our economy by helping the working class and homeowners.
- Whether we protect the civil rights of all Americans, regardless of their race, gender, religion or sexual orientation.
- Whether we provide top-notch or mediocre public education to our children.
- Whether we work to make health care more affordable or continue to deny health care rights to poor and middle income Americans.
- Whether we lead the world in the fight against global warming or just keep ignoring the problem.
- Whether we will guarantee reproductive rights for all women.
If you have to wait in line for hours to vote, it's worth the wait. If you have to miss work or a class to vote, it's worth it. And, as you choose our next president, don't forget to cast your vote for all the great Progressive Majority candidates running in your state.
