It's time to Rock the Vote in District of Columbia

Rock the Vote

11.04.08-- Be thereDear Phillip,

Election Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 4. It's time to VOTE.

Visit http://www.rockthevote.com/ to learn where your polling place is, when it's open, and what you need to bring to cast your ballot.

The rumors and speculations are flying.  Will young voters turn out?  Will there be long lines?  Will your vote count?

The answer is yes. Yes we will turn out-- we registered in record high numbers, and there's no doubt we'll be at the polls on Election Day.

So yes, that does mean there will be some lines. Bring a deck of cards, bring some coffee, bring your friends. We're throwing parties at the polls and you should too. You're not going to want to miss this election.

And yes, your vote will count. If you run into trouble, don't hesitate to call us at 1-866-OUR-VOTE. Take a photo or video and post it at blog.rockthevote.com. And if an election official tells you you're not on the rolls, demand to vote (even if it's with a provisional ballot) and call 1-866-OUR-VOTE.

Tomorrow we're going to make history.

-- Heather Smith

P.S. Check back here to let us know you voted- we'll have live results on Election Night and stories from polling places from across America.
