DOING BUSINESS WITH RUSSIA CONFERENCE
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 20th
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
to be held at The Russian Trade Mission
2001 Connecticut Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20008 (street parking)
&The George Washington University
IMPORTANT PANELS ON:
- CURRENT BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT
- RUSSIAN-AMERICAN BUSINESS COOPERATION
- NEW MARKET OPPORTUNITIES
- BILATERAL &MULTILATERAL OPERATIONS
Panels will address vital topics of business, trade, energy and finance. The conference will include presentations on energy and natural resources, high technology, mergers and acquisitions, economic development and public support for investments. This event will allow you and your colleagues to interact with those in Russia and Eurasia seeking to expand two-way trade, direct investments, business opportunities and open communication. The Eurasia Center and the Eurasian Business Coalition seeks to build peaceful relations through business.
Participants at the conference will be able to speak with members of Russian Trade Mission, experts who have years of experience in doing business in Russia. There will be officials from numerous US corporations and representatives of US Government Agencies including the Departments of Commerce and State. The Eurasia Center and the Eurasian Business Coalition have organized this conference as part of their mandates to maintain open discussions and to build better business relationships between the US and Russia as well as between the US and Eurasia in general.
The conference builds on the momentum of the 27th Annual World Russian Forum held in Washington on May 19-20, 2008. This year?s Forum was one of the most interesting and best attended. As Russia?s economic and political importance has increased and it searches for new relationships throughout the world community, interest in Russia has also increased. Although there has been a recent downturn in global stock markets, Russia is poised to weather the storm and experts predict a continue growth of 6-7% in the Russian GNP. Whereas the World Russian Forum covers topics ranging from politics to culture and economics, the Doing Business with RUSSIA conference will focus exclusively on business issues. (with Lunch provided at GWU and Special Russian Cocktail Reception at the Russian Trade Mission and the new Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the U.S. will attend the event).
