| Dear Friends, John McCain and his Republican Party are at it again. They are using dirty tricks, scare tactics, and the same Bush-Rove methods that Floridians are sick of to try and distract and confuse voters since they know they can't win on the issues. Since the 2000 election, the Florida Democratic Party has had statewide legal leadership in place, whose job it is to protect the vote. Once again this year, the coordinated voter protection effort led by the Party and the Obama campaign is ramping up our legal team. In order to assure that every voter gets to exercise his or her right to vote, and that those votes get counted, we need to place 5,000 Democratic lawyers in the polls on Election Day. The Obama campaign understands this as well, and has joined us in dedicating significant resources to make sure that every eligible voter can cast their vote with the comfort of knowing that their vote will be counted.
