| Dear Friends -- Women's Week of Action continues! Across the nation, women are getting involved, volunteering at phone banks, and going out on community canvasses. We wanted to update you on some of the highlights and upcoming events: Tonight, 8:30 p.m. EDT: Women for Obama Hosts an Online Policy Discussion with Dr. Susan Rice Dr. Susan Rice is a former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State and a senior national security adviser to the Obama-Biden campaign. At 8:30 p.m. EDT tonight, Dr. Rice will give a brief policy talk, followed by a discussion with supporters on the Women for Obama blog. Tune in at 8:30 p.m. to join the discussion. Speaker Pelosi and Women for the Change We Need On Wednesday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi held a Women for the Change We Need press conference in Washington, DC. She was joined by Representatives Jan Schakowsky, Rosa DeLauro, Donna Edwards, Betty McCollum, Linda Sanchez and Diana DeGette to discuss Barack Obama's and Joe Biden's records of fighting for issues of concern to women and American families. Barack Obama Receives Endorsements from NOW and the Feminist Majority This is the Feminist Majority's first presidential endorsement ever, and the first time NOW has endorsed a presidential ticket that didn't have a woman on it. Monday, September 22nd: Watch the Women Senators on Larry King Live On Monday, September 22nd, the Democratic women Senators, led by Senator Barbara Mikulski, will be on Larry King Live talking about what's at stake for women voters in 2008.
