Tonight – in a 45-minute speech – Barack Obama will make history. He will accept the Democratic nomination for President 45 years to the day after Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his remarkable "I Have A Dream" speech in Washington, D.C.
There are some who thought we would never see this day in our lifetime. Tonight, we prove them wrong. There are others who believe our hopes and dreams, so vibrant today, will be dashed in the fall. On November 4th, we prove them wrong.
From my father's and Michelle Obama's exhilarating speeches on Monday to Barack's surprise appearance last night, this week has started the momentum to launch us to victory in November. We need to keep it going. The Speaker has set a goal of
ONE MILLION DOLLARS by the end of convention week and there are just
3 DAYS left.
The eyes of the world are watching our totals - we must show we have the strength to win.
