Dear Divers We all know that our oceans and the coral reefs we love are in some trouble. For those of you that have been diving for a long time, the sentiment probably rings even truer - when was the last time you dive a reef that actually looks better than it did 20 years ago? If we want to help protect the diving environments that we love, we can. From time to time we will bring to your attention ways that we as divers can affect change in the ocean with very simple actions. Currently there is deliberation surrounding the National Environmental Policy Act ( NEPA ) that changes the way NEPA works. NEPA has functioned to manage fishing and other environmental issues surrounding the ocean. The new changes make protecting fish and other sea animals more difficult. Getting down to the warm sunny waters of Florida or the Caribbean, or even better to more exotic destinations like Truk or Fiji, are the highlights of your years. As travel costs are increasing, the flexibility of resorts and airlines to issue refunds or reschedules is diminishing. A great way to protect yourself against unforeseen events that can cause you to have to cancel or delay your trip is Travel Insurance. Travel Insurance covers you in the event that, through no fault of your own, you are unable to go on your trip as scheduled.

We highly reccomend Travel Insurance for your next trip. | | Dive Travel is Back!! |  Dear Divers, For the past couple of years, Atlantic Edge has not had an active Dive Travel program. We believed that by splitting our energy among
too many different things, we weren't able to offer you our full attention in any one area. We focused our attention on our training program and worked to offer you the best Scuba Classes in the Mid-Atlantic area. By every measure we have done just that.
With your enthusiastic participation our training program has grown, a lot! We now offer classes in eight different locations in Maryland and Pennsylvania and we have even grown to include Fort Lauderdale as a class location. Many of you have also taken our Aquarium Diver class: a very cool and unique opportunity to dive in the National Aquarium in Baltimore. We expect to continue to grow our training program, creating more locations and more opportunities for continuing education in the coming year.
We have heard from many of you, asking where you can go diving and whether Atlantic Edge was planning any trips. And so, it is with great pleasure that we announce that TRAVEL IS BACK!! It is now time to offer you group dive travel again, and we intend to offer it in the only way we know how - with excellent quality, customer service and with our full attention to detail. We are very excited about this and we look forward to diving with you and to sharing our passion with you, our valued customers!
We are in the process right now of scoping out some great locations andcool opportunities to go diving. Look for a travel schedule within the next couple of weeks!

Project AWARE Foundation teams up with Discovery Mobile to help de-bunk shark myths and educate public audiences about the dire need for their conservation around America's favorite summer television event, Discovery Channel's SHARK WEEK. Challenge your knowledge on the mystery and power of sharks and the threats facing their survival worldwide.
Now in its 21st year, SHARK WEEK airs nightly from July 27 to August 2 on Discovery Channel. This season's programs address myths about sharks, spotlight lesser-known and unusual sharks, and educate the public about the importance of sharks through conservation information. As part of Discovery's commitment to educating the public about the plight of sharks around the world, Discovery Mobile has partnered with Project AWARE Foundation to offer consumers this engaging and educational interactive application.
