|NEW ALLIES| "Change comes when people put aside their agendas and come together in open and honest dialogue." That's Rev. Dr. Michael Kinnamon, explaining why the National Council of Churches is supporting Divided We Fail during our Faith Month in June. We have long believed that affordable health care and long-term economic security are issues that mobilize Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs to demand better from their political leaders. Read Rev. Dr. Kinnamon's statement here >> Faith-based organizations participating in Divided We Fail activities include Faith in Action, Islamic Society of North America, National Council of Churches, and Jewish Council for Public Affairs. Do you want to get your church, mosque, synagogue, temple, or other faith-based organization to start discussions about the issues that matter the most? Click here and go to the Divided We Fail website for materials to help champion affordable, quality health care and long term financial security for all >> |TAKE ACTION| Every day, it gets harder for millions of American families to afford the quality health care we all deserve. Divided We Fail is asking the Democratic and Republican National Committees: What is your answer to America's health care crisis? Help us demand ACTIONS and ANSWERS on affordable health care - tell the Republican and Democratic Party Chairs to talk about their plans for AFFORDABLE health this fall! Every fall, the two parties' national committees invest millions of dollars in television ads in only a few targeted House and Senate races where they think they have the best chance of winning. Now is our chance to make sure those ads address the parties' health care plans! Tell the parties: "I vote, and I care about your health care plans! Make sure your advertising speaks to the concerns of ALL Americans." |CHAMP OF THE MONTH| As a Divided We Fail volunteer in New Hampshire, Don spends two days a week in the office and, in the run up to the critical New Hampshire primary, brought our call for action and answers to the attention of the pundits and political leaders traveling our state. Check out Don in the photo on the right with NH AARP President Ally McNair, and George Stephanopolous! Most importantly, Don's story has inspired others to join Divided We Fail. After hearing his testimonial in state mailings, dozens of fellow New Hampshire natives called our Divided We Fail office to see how they could help. Thank you, Don! Champ is continuing his journey across the nation spreading Divided We Fail's message. Is he coming to a place near you? Check out his plans for July below: July 4: Manchester, NH July 19: North Dakota State Fair To find out when he'll be at a location near you, click here!
