| Dear Friends, I wanted to make sure you saw this slide from a presentation given by the McCain campaign earlier this month: This shows exactly what we are up against. John McCain and the Republican National Committee have built a fundraising strategy based on accepting huge checks from Washington lobbyists and special interest PACs -- and they are very good at it. This month, the DNC decided to join our presumptive nominee in refusing donations from Washington lobbyists and PACs. Monday will be the first big test of this decision. Stand up for our people-powered movement and make a contribution of $25 before the June 30th deadline: https://donate.barackobama.com/DNCdeadline Our decision not to accept these contributions wasn't easy. As we expand our 50 state strategy to build the first 50 state campaign in a generation, we'll need unprecedented resources to compete all over the country and help Democrats win elections up and down the ballot in November. It's clear that the Republicans have become masters of a broken system. And that's why we are relying on each and every one of you to show that millions of Americans can come together to compete against these big interests. The June 30th deadline is our first big test and you can see that we have our work cut out for us. Make a contribution of $25 before the deadline and show that we are ready to stand up and compete in all 50 states: https://donate.barackobama.com/DNCdeadline Thanks, Tom McMahon | ||||
