It's coming down to the wire.
At midnight tomorrow, we report our fundraising totals to the FEC and the Republicans, media and pundits will use it as a measure of our chances of success in 2008. We still need another
$100,000 in contributions to meet our goal before the deadline.
We know Cheney has
raised hundreds of thousands of dollars this summer and Bush is on the offensive sending emails out for the Republican National Committee. We can't let their special interest friends who are always looking for special favors help them gain on us.

Over the past month, nine Republicans have announced that they won't run for reelection. This happened in part because of our fundraising success. When I go out to recruit candidates to run in those districts the first question I get is:
Will the DCCC have the financial resources to help me win?You can help make sure the answer is a resounding YES. Until tomorrow at midnight House Democrats have agreed to match your contributions 2 -1, effectively tripling their value.
