Fw: THIS JUST IN!

Friends and Supporters,

THIS JUST IN
Today, the Northwest Current announced their endorsement of my candidacy for Ward 4 Council. I am pleased that they recognized my record of community service as well as my private sector and municipal finance background.

"We believe his private-sector background, combined with his interest and ideas for attracting neighborhood-serving retail to Georgia Avenue, would enable him to bring to fruition long-desired improvements for the street...[we] endorse Mr. Brown."

Less than three weeks until victory! As always, we appreciate all of your support, participation, and enthusiasm. We couldn't do this without you.

Gertrude Stein Democratic Club Endorsement

We are pleased to announce that the Gertrude Stein Democratic Club endorsed my candidacy in a public vote of over 67% earlier this week. Stein is one of the oldest Democratic clubs in DC. I am honored to have earned their respect and support. (Read Full Endorsement)

Voting Rights March

Please join me and my supporters as we join DC Vote on Monday, April 16th to march for voting rights.

We will meet at Freedom Plaza at 2:30PM (13th St & Pennsylvania Ave NW) – look for our banners. From there, we will march down Pennsylvania Ave to the Capitol at 3PM ending at a 4PM rally at the Capitol Reflecting Pool (3rd St & Independence Ave NW). Please visit votingrightsmarch.org or call our campaign office at 202-558-6424 for more information.

Waves, Walks and Knocks

We had an army of supporters on the streets and I am pleased to say that we knocked on 14,478 doors in the past week alone.

We are continuing our aggressive door-to-door campaign with a team of supporters 7 days a week.

With only 21 days until the Special Election on May 1, I need your help now more than ever. Our field office (6230 Georgia Ave NW) is serving as base camp for our extensive volunteer, Get-Out-The-Vote and field operations. Each and every volunteer is an invaluable tool in this election and I am asking you to donate a few hours of your time to help us out. Whether it is walking your neighborhood, calling supporters, or waving with me and my team at intersections in the morning, your time and support is the most important thing to me.

I want to continue to thank our scores of volunteers and supporters who walk with us. Also, a BIG THANKS to AFSCME, whose endorsement we received last month, for all the volunteer support they have given and will continue to give to our campaign through ELECTION DAY on May 1st.

As always, your financial support before April 15th is crucial to our continued success, please be as generous as possible in your contribution.

Thank you again for all you have done and I eagerly look forward to victory on May 1st.
