Bush Lied About Medicare -- Take Action Today!
Dear PHILLIP QUIETT,
George W. Bush lied to Congress and the American public about the real cost of his Medicare prescription drug plan, according to a nonpartisan Congressional Research Service report.
Thomas Scully, the then-director of Medicare, ordered Richard Foster, the top Medicare money cruncher, to keep his mouth shut about the real cost of the drug plan. If he didn't, Scully said, he'd be shown the door out.
After he had pushed the bill through Congress, Scully left the administration. Guess where he went? He now represents the pharmaceutical companies that benefit from this bogus law.
Just weeks after the legislation was signed by Bush, the administration finally revealed the truth: the Medicare bill cost $100 billion more than they had told Congress and America.
