Supporters have even put Gore’s name into nomination for a Nobel Peace Prize. Moreover, the film — one of the highest money-grossing documentaries in history — created a new and more likeable image of a politician long mocked as wooden and unnatural, earning him perhaps a stronger personal following than he had in his time in public office.
