Rally for Climate Action in D.C.

Repower America

A great coalition of organizations is hosting a rally on climate change in D.C. this coming Tuesday at noon. Can you make it?

We've included their alert below, with all the details.

Thanks,

--------------------

Please join us in congratulating President-elect Obama and the newly elected Congress! As Sen. Obama said in his victory speech, it's time to "join in the work of remaking this nation," and we couldn't agree more. Here is our chance -- right now -- to work with our new leaders to make sure our vision of a clean energy future becomes reality.

At noon on Tuesday join hundreds of people in Upper Senate Park as we rally for Climate Action Now. Come hear Congressman Chris Van Hollen, a top House leader, Bill McKibben, founder of Step It Up and 350.org, and other inspiring speakers.

We'll be presenting a giant plane ticket to our new leaders encouraging President-elect Obama to act on his commitment to climate action and re-engage with the world by attending the crucial UN Climate Conference in Poland in December.

Will you join us? Register here.

Make no mistake, no matter how committed our new government is to taking action, nothing will happen without your involvement.

As we rally in DC, actions will also be taking place at literally hundreds of local congressional offices around the country with the same message: Climate Action Now!

WHEN: Tuesday, November 18th from 12-1pm

WHERE: Upper Senate Park, Capitol Hill
