Join DC Vote tonight, March 19, at the Lincoln Legacy National Town Hall from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Historical Society of Washington, DC; 801 K Street, NW. This event will be broadcast live on WPFW-FM (89.3). Take part in this history-making event! The Lincoln Legacy National Town Hall is a Bicentennial commemoration of Lincoln's life and legacy and will be a bright beacon to completing our nation's "unfinished work." Panelists will examine voting rights - especially in the District- and will include Wade Henderson, Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, Ron Walters, University of Maryland, Alex Keyssar, Harvard University, author of the Right to Vote: The Contested History of Democracy in the United States, Jonathan Turley, George Washington University Law School, and Kenneth Thomas, Congressional Research Services-American Law Division, who will examine voting rights-especially in the District. Local artist Joe L. Da Vessel and the band Melodic will play voting rights anthem "Demand the Vote" and Rasi Caprice will perform his signature song "Free My City".
