Tuesday marked one-year-out from Election Day and Democratic victories in Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey and Kentucky show the clearest possible signs -- that together, we are making a difference in our fight to take America in a New Direction.
Here at Democratic headquarters, we spent Election Day 2007 hosting our
Grassroots Strategy Summit sitting down with Deborah, Jerry, Jim, Andrew and Mike -- five DCCC supporters from across the country who won the chance to participate and have lunch with Paul Begala.
It was a great experience -- a chance to sit down with grassroots activists from around the country to talk about what we can do in the next year and our excitement and even our shared frustration with the obstructionist tactics of the President and Republicans in Congress.
After our
Grassroots Strategy Summit on Tuesday, I feel even more confident that the DCCC will be ready for the expansive playing field that we will face in the coming year. I am also happy to report that thanks to you, our
365 Days to Victory campaign raised
over $700,000 in funds for the 70 districts that are in play. That's incredible and I thank you for your continued support.
We have accomplished a lot already and we will have to work even harder next year. But, that's why I wanted to give you, one of our key supporters, an early look at our DCCC
