| Dear Friend, "Thank you." That's the most common message people sent our field organizers last week, when we asked for notes of encouragement for their work ahead. Thousands of people wrote notes -- and our organizers are busy reading each of them. Those messages were just what the team needed to get pumped up for the upcoming months. But 50-State Strategy organizers aren't the only ones who need to get pumped about the upcoming elections. It's going to take hard work from each of us, and that's what we thought we'd share a few of those notes with you: Bettie from Milmay, New Jersey said: We finally are recognizing that we must take back this country state by state. Howard Dean's efforts are paying off and without you the organizers to do the actual work, we would fail. Thanks to all of you and keep up the good work. Allen from Tacoma, Washington wrote: I am a full supporter of the 50 state strategy, one that brings politics down to a grassroots level more than ever before. Without your leadership, and that of your colleagues, this effort would never have been successful in 2006. We need you more than ever for 2008. This is just a note to thank you for your important work, and to tell you how much I appreciate your contribution. And Derrick from Baltimore, Maryland wrote: Your hard work and dedication to our country is always appreciated, never forgotten. I wish that you will keep your spirits high -- you are writing a remarkable chapter in the history of our party and nation. Most of all, this dynamic period of change in America is possible because of your many efforts to reach beyond the boundaries of geography or states, to reach every American voter. Together we are building an infrastructure for the dreams of tomorrow. Let's up the great work, as there is still so much for us to accomplish! With an experienced team, a good plan, and your help to keep us going, we'll win again in 2008. Fortunately, a few of our organizers had time to write notes of their own. Renee, one of the organizers from Delaware, responded: Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement! I love the fact that so many people who I have never met or spoken to (along with some of my reliable favorite volunteers) find the work that we are doing valuable. Jesse, who works in Oregon, wrote: Let me say thank you to all of you for your kind words and support. ... There are thousands of people across this state contributing their time, money, and heart, to making a difference locally and nationally and I couldn't do this job without their help and they deserve you kind words as much as anyone. So let me say thank you to all of you and I promise you all that I will work tirelessly to make sure that the Democratic Party and our supporters will be the catalyst for the fundamental change you all are praying for and this country deserves and needs. And Catherine from Nebraska wrote: Thank you to everyone who supports the DNC staff in Nebraska. I love the work I do and could not be successful without the support of each and every one of you.
